Hours: Every second Saturday from 10:00 am - 12:00 noon
Location: John Wood Center, 3730 Old Lee Highway, Fairfax, VA
For details, please contact Howard Rhile: hrhile@compuserve.com

The monthly sessions will be led by one or more of the fine accomplished musicians in this area, probably on a rotating basis. The leader will provide the knowledge and experience to give aspiring session players a sense of accomplishment in a fun learning environment.

There will be a list of commonly played tunes so that aspiring players can start a tune on the list knowing that at least one other player will know the tune. However, the sessions will not be restricted to the tunes on the list and tunes will be added as the sessions progress.

The first monthly session will be held on Saturday, May 10th from 10:00 AM to noon at The John C. Wood Center. Mark Hillman will lead the session. More details will follow soon.
The session website, http://www.geocities.com/novairishsession is being updated.

THE BOGWANDERERS
The Bogwanderers Ceili Band, which has long been a landmark in the Irish sound landscape of Northern Virginia (and beyond), decided to draw a map of their repertoire. Jos Hindriks, the Dutchman who often whistles along on his soprano recorder at the monthly ceili in Fairfax, volunteered to work with the band and compile compatible versions of the tunes they love to play on the "Bog Survival Kit", a subpage of the NoVa Irish Session website (http://www.geocities.com/novairishsession/bw/index.htm).
